I genuinely feel Six Stylez are the best band I have ever heard at a wedding and cannot recommend them highly enough.
They were absolutely fantastic! Every song they played kept people on the dance floor and the party atmosphere just kept increasing through the night. Every member of Six Stylez was great and the lead singer was stand out – his vocals were matched each song perfectly. Our guests literally started chanting “ONE MORE SONG” at the end of night!
A few of our guests are musicians themselves, and were blown away by the band’s diversity and talent. In addition to compliments on the day, even now every guest we reminisce with says that Six Stylez was a highlight from the day.
Another few points that are worth highlighting. Firstly, Derek made everything a complete breeze. He is extremely professional, responsive and accommodating. For our first dance we asked for a song that was not on their song list. Derek coordinated the arrangement of the song and it was perfect! Secondly, we tried not to be too specific on which songs we wanted them to play. This was a good decision – they were able to judge the mood perfectly and the dance floor was packed throughout the night. Finally, Six Stylez’ set-up was amazing. They had a great light show and the sound system was as good as it gets! Even our venue said they had never seen a party as fun and full-on.
All in all, I cannot recommend Six Stylez highly enough.

Six Stylez was awesome! We had such a good time and a big reason for that was the great music! Their song choices were perfect and they had our group dancing all night. Derek also did an great job with the introductions and with setting up the audio for the ceremony. Several people noted to me how good the ceremony sound was.

I can’t begin to tell you how many compliments we got on Six Stylez. People are still talking about them today as I run into them. I was impressed at how talented they really are. The video’s we saw on line don’t do them justice to the performance we saw Saturday night.
We have been to several weddings lately and pay close attention to the bands and feel we hired the best band we have seen lately. Many friends want the contact info and I am passing it along.
I can’t speak to working with the band, I am just the father of the bride writing the checks. What I can tell you is how much fun everyone had and what a great night of entertainment they provided. They made the atmosphere electrifying and energetic. I hope they could tell how much everyone enjoyed their music. The only sad part was when it had to end. But even that was perfect. They closed by letting the bride and groom sing the first few verses of Journey “Don’t Stop Believin’” and had the whole crowd singing with them, then rocked the place out with a bang.

Six Stylez was fantastic — they really exceeded our expectations in every way and we would recommend them to anyone. The band, and especially the lead singer, is very talented. All of our guests said it was the best band that they’d ever heard play a wedding. We loved their rendition of our first dance song, which was kind of obscure.
But for as good as the band was, our greatest praise is for Derek, who really made sure things ran very smoothly at the reception – guiding the toasts, helping us with the timeline when we started to get behind, making sure the band was set up on time, playing a terrific set of music, expertly managing breaks, etc.

“The band was AWESOME!! They really played a wide variety of great tunes that had the place fired up!! We really enjoyed the music and the atmosphere the guys provided and I would recommend them to ANYONE looking for live music.”
“Wedding bands are hit or miss…so you never know what to expect. Though the timid crowd took a little while to fill up the dance floor, it wasn’t long before the band had us all out there–young and old–working up a sweat and busting out our old Soul Train moves! With a lead singer that looks like Ricky Martin and sounds like anyone from Michael Jackson to Katy Perry, how can you go wrong!!!?? The drummer killed it the entire night and I loved when they let him go off on drum solos. The guitarist was shredding up the fretboard like it was no body’s business, so much so that even my husband came out on the dance floor for a while (that’s a small miracle, trust me!). The bassist beat that thing to a pulp and didn’t mind when we all played our air bass along with him. Overall, the band was A+++++! They sounded great, interacted with the crowd just enough to keep us engaged and even played a few extra encore songs (Cult of Personality was THE BEST!) because we weren’t quite ready to leave the dance floor. I’d recommend them to anyone…great job guys!”

We had lots of folks at the wedding who are used to NYC bands and great sound…and they all thought Six Stylez topped most of the bands they knew.
They were very flexible and eager to please and chose wonderful music.
We gave very little guidance, but they knew instinctively what to play.
And at the end of the night, the bride & groom, along with a few other crazies were up on the stage with them!

My parents wanted to pay to have them go longer, but our wedding planner said we needed to go ahead and do our exit and we were kind of tired anyway so we figured we would end on a good note! Everyone had such a great time!!! It’s funny because people would ask me before the wedding about the music, and when I told them I selected a band, they would always ask me how. You could tell they were skeptical that I had never seen them live. I was never worried and being able to go through Sam Hill and search through the different bands made the process really easy!!

Six Stylez was absoultely AMAZING!! After talking with Derek for the first time on the phone, I had complete confidence that they were going to put on a great show and they exceeded those expectations! They were so nice to work with and are incredibly talented! When Derek announced that the dance floor was open after Ben’s dance with his mom, it felt like the whole room was out there in a matter of seconds. Everyone from our flower girls to Ben’s 90 year-old grandmother was on the dance floor and having a great time. So many people commented on the band and said they were the best they had heard. They also did an amazing job on Ben and my song, which was a song that wasn’t on their list. It sounded amazing! They were so accommodating with the mother/son song, as well, playing a song that they had prepared in the past, but wasn’t necessarily on their song list. They really played such a huge role in making our wedding the magical, fun, special night that it was! I didn’t want it to end! Words really can’t do it justice, so I will end by saying that they were incredible and made it an unforgettable night not only for Ben and our families, but for all of our guests. We can’t thank them enough!

Stylez Six, was absolutely the hit of the whole reception. I am so glad we hired them!! They were awesome! Not only were they really talented, but their energy was infectious! You knocked it out of the park with your music recommendations. I mean seriously, Six Stylez was unbelievable. People danced all night and have been raving about the band ever since. The music was spot on – we had some communications before the event and we gave them a short ten songs “must have” list from their songlist! I think they then took guidance from the songs we particularly noted to construct the rest of the set. All of our guests who commented specifically on Six Stylez were incredibly complimentary, and we certainly didn’t hear any bad words either.
I think to me in particular though it was the overall professionalism that the band showed that impressed me most. Specifically I would like to draw out a couple of things:
- the speeches overran our target time (the perils of an English wedding and a particularly verbose best man!), but the band were prepared and ready to go as soon as they were due without any chasing from us – I appreciate the delay could have been frustrating to them but they certainly did not let it show
- the music for during dinner was all set up and absolutely no hassle to us, and the first dance was also cued up and I suspect the band had got this recording especially (I don’t think it is a particularly popular song in the US!)
- set-up was perfect and really suited the room and atmosphere – I have the sesne the band probably has more in the way of “show” but they judged the setting and atmosphere perfectly
- the band very definitely very warm and let their personalities shine through as well as the excellent music
- they took only a couple of short breaks within their set, which was certainly valuable to us given the shortened set as described above.
Overall they judged and then played to the occasion, atmosphere and mood perfectly and we were delighted with them. If we did it all again we would most certainly ask them back and would just start an hour ealry to make sure we got the most from them!! I hope the guys enjoyed the gig as much as we and our guests did!

I am pretty sure that the band gave a lot of cards out, to guests, the resort and also the photographer among others. We’ve also been pretty communicative with Fripp Island about who we used (including yourselves) so hopefully that will result in more business for you all!!

Hi Andy! Things went fantastic with Six Stylez. They are professional, gave an awesome show and worked great even with minimal direction. I remember saying to Derek: Just do what you all do. They played our specialty songs DJed like requested and near the end of the reception played a song that my parents requested, which was a family tradition, so my parents were very happy.

I have been meaning to write you for quite some time. Six Stylez was GREAT– I could not have asked for a better band at my wedding!!! I can’t tell you how many friends have told me that it was the best band that they have ever heard at a wedding. Even today– a friend told me how he would love to hire them for a party. Derek did an excellent job as MC and the band timed their breaks perfectly. Six Stylez also did a tremendous job backing a good friend of mine on the song “White Wedding.” And– when my friends insisted that I sing– Six Stylez was very accommodating! We were all having so much fun dancing that I blew off throwing the bouquet until the very end so we could enjoy as much of the band as possible!
Not only did Six Stylez sound great, but the light show really added. And their rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” was awesome! A ton of people have told me that the wedding was the best wedding they have been too and I know Six Stylez played a big part in that. Thanks for all of your help.
